Why is talking to yourself so important? And A Record Discount!

Weekly Wednesday Wisdom from Jonathan Chase the Hypnotist blog

Why is talking to yourself so important?

I was in the post office one day when the rain outside was doing a great impersonation of Niagara Falls.

It wasn’t just raining it was a deluge, which basically means that the wind and sun had scooped up a good wedge of the North Atlantic and the North Sea and had managed to drag the billion gallons a few hundred miles south to Devon and then decided to throw the bloody lot down at once. Mostly on the people who needed to buy a stamp.

How to Protect Yourself From “Street Hypnosis” and NLP

Set the scene. You are walking down the street, in the park or having a
night out with your friends. A complete stranger walks up to you and before
you know what’s happening the conversation has turned to hypnosis or maybe
just to imagination and pretending.

Then twenty minutes later you find yourself standing there wondering where
that time went while your compatriots are either guffawing or also looking
as stunned as you feel.

What’s happened?

Scene two is different, you are at an event and a person walks up to you,
announces they are a professional hypnotist or magician hired as
entertainment by the venue or event organisers and would you like to take
part. You wake up ten minutes later with an audience applauding both you and
your performing friend who offers to give you back the memory of astounding
reality you’ve just experienced in the last few minutes.

Magic Moments of Hypnosis and How Hypnotic Experience makes the difference.

Weekly Wednesday Wisdom from Jonathan Chase the Hypnotist blog

Magic Moments of Hypnosis

There comes a point in everyday when the subconscious is open to suggestion. It isn’t trance in any sense of the word and it isn’t an ‘altered’ state. No more than being in any mood is an altered state.

As a hypnotist you can create these moments or you can just be observant and make use of them. Either way they are the times when a correctly formed suggestion can be easily given to elicit a planned response.

Hypnosis The Great Pretender & Scriptnosis – Hypnosis Painting By Numbers

Weekly Wednesday Wisdom from Jonathan Chase the Hypnotist blog

Hypnosis the Great Pretender

Let’s pretend. Lets pretend that our leg won’t move, or pretend that our arm is rigged or that our hand is floating toward our face or that our eyelids are locked.

Hypnosis is the use, application and manipulation of our capacity to pretend, to imagine, to create reality. That manipulation is caused by directing the imagination.

Hypnotic High and Hobby Hypnotists

Weekly Wednesday Wisdom from Jonathan Chase the Hypnotist blog

a Hypnotic High

The thing is, the truth of the thing is, that hypnosis can indeed be used to experience the world entirely through the imagination without the interference of the logical factors in your brain telling you that you can’t be bouncing on a rubber moon or floating in a psychedelic sea of used five pound notes being served peeled grapes by nubile ladies wearing not a lot. Sorry got carried away there.

The most watched hypnosis video on YouTube is entitled “Amazing Hypnosis Makes You High”. And my Auto Self Suggestion audio that gets me the most happy ‘private’ mail is designed to heighten your sensual experience in a Tantric way.

I am Against NLP & Hypnosis, Words and Understanding

=============================

I am against NLP

Apparently I am *against* NLP according to a comment on my very good friend Reg Blackwood’s blog.

This is in facet not true. Neuro Linguistic Programming is as far as one can tell, a study of human behaviour and how that results in excellence at any given task. And a theoretical application of it’s findings to create the potential for such excellence in others by dint of emulation. Being against it would need it to be something more than just another way of making the simple complex. It would be like being against flatulence.

Does Hypnosis ExistHypnosis & the Placebo theoryThe Hypnotist Radio show number 1

Does Hypnosis exist?

Back in the 1960′s the Amazing Kreskin the mesmeric mentalist and something of a hero of mine, proved in a court of law that hypnosis was the applied art of suggestion and that as an entity it actually does not exist. Sadly of course he’s totally wrong. Even though I can’t ‘prove’ it and claim the reward he offers in his latest book Kreskin Confidential.

The Governments view on Street Hypnosis Law in the UK

The Governments view on Street Hypnosis in the UK & Why Comfort zones are your GPRS

I know it’s tedious but like the road traffic act insisting you drive on the left in the UK – you ignore the law concerning Stage and Street Hypnosis at your peril.

Although not conclusive by any means the document below is way more informative than the majority of so-called legal knowledge out there. Mainly because I did what no one else has and asked my MP to find out what the 1952 Hypnotism act actually and it’s attending documents, actually means to the performing hypnotist in the UK.

Hypnosis vs hypnotherapy www

Are Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy the same thing?

In my experience apart from the roots they ‘appear’ to have come from and the goals to which they are used – the two are very often entirely different.

It’s rather like asking if English Football and American Football are the same. And the answer to that has to be – well they are both games where as Patch Adams says, “You watch a load of millionaires playing with their balls.” That and the fact they both use the word Football.
